👋🏽 thanks for stopping by!

i am a civic data scientist and an AI professor.

Officially, I am a Professorial Lecturer in artificial intelligence and data science at American University’s Kogod School of Business, where I teach about democratizing innovation and new technologies.

I also co-teach Programming and Data for Policymakers at The John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Off campus, I consult on a range of innovation projects for incredible organizations and companies, namely modernizing state courts with The Pew Charitable Trusts.

I live in Washington, DC, and share a life (and a writing desk) with my partner, Katherine — an economic policy reporter at POLITICO.
